PRIVATE STUDIO DOG GROOMING
Open for baths and full grooming for dogs of all sizes! I have a fully-equipped grooming studio in my home where I take only ONE DOG AT A TIME (or one household's dogs at a time) so it's personal, custom 1-ON-1, IN-AND-OUT service—no sitting around for hours waiting in cages, no exposure to other pets, and no hectic, stressful, noisy grooming shop environment for your dog. You drop off at your appointment time and will be notified ahead of time for pickup as soon as your dog is done. The studio and all equipment are cleaned and sanitized between appointments.
Studio is located in Newark off Willow St and Thornton Ave/off the Decoto exit near the Dumbarton bridge. Exact address provided upon booking of an appointment.

PRICING/QUOTES
All prices listed above are general price ranges. Any pre-quoted grooming prices before the first appointment are estimates only and are not final until after the groom is completed, at which time your total will be given.
Pricing is all-inclusive of the services listed in the full groom & bath packages and based on the time and effort required to complete the groom, which vary depending on the following factors:
-
Breed: Size and weight
-
Coat: Overall condition, length (short vs. long coat), type (single vs. double coat)
-
Age: Puppies that are new to professional grooming may be more difficult to work on as they tend to be nervous/scared, squirmy, and less cooperative. It is important to go slow with them during their first grooms to give them a positive experience that will make them more receptive to the process moving forward. Senior dogs who may have health issues that make grooming procedures more stressful to them or who have trouble standing will also take longer to work on.
-
Matting: Mats are extremely time-consuming to brush out and requires proper technique and skill. Some dogs do not tolerate brushing well and will resist the process and are therefore even more difficult and time-consuming to work on. Light to moderate matting will be assessed if it is possible and tolerable to be brushed out. Severe matting is painful to the dog, often impossible to be brushed out, and can cause severe health issues; therefore, severe matting/pelting will require an extensive process of pre-shaving, bathing, and then a complete finishing haircut which will increase the groom fee.
-
Temperament/behavior: Well-behaved, cooperative dogs will be easier to work on and require less time; jumpy, squirmy, uncooperative, aggressive dogs will require extra time, effort, and patience.
-
Maintenance: Dogs that are professionally groomed on a regular basis (~every 4-6 weeks) and also brushed regularly at home will have a more manageable, workable coat and will be more habituated to grooming procedures than dogs who go for long periods of time without being groomed. Fees will be higher for dogs that very infrequently or rarely get professionally groomed.
